Heavyweight title challenger Dereck Chisora has revealed h turned down a company offering him £70k to advertise on the soles of his boots.

The Finchley based boxer faces WBC champion Vitali Klitschko this weekend in Munich and goes into the fight a massive under dog.

Klitschko has held the title since pummelling Samuel Peter into submission in 2008 and in the 7 fights since, only 2 people have heard the final bell.

Chisora isn’t the only person to have been made such an offer though, in 2000 Julius Francis faced Mike Tyson and was given £20k by The Mirror to have their logo on the soles of his boots.

It was money well spent as Francis was dropped 5 times before being stopped in the second round, but Chisora claims he is coming to win as he told The Telegraph:

“I’m not here to make up the numbers and no one was going to put their logo on the soles of my boots. Doing that would have been like a white flag of surrender even before I stepped into the ring.

“Why would I want anyone to advertise on the soles of my boots? The only time you’ll see the soles of my feet is when I’m dead. Or maybe running for a bus but believe me, I won’t be running on Saturday night.”
