Klitschko/Chisora not in doubt as Chisora is given a suspended sentence
Derek Chisora’s heavyweight bout with Wladimir Klitschko will safely go ahead after Chisora was handed a suspended sentence for assaulting an ex girlfriend.
It was being reported that Klitschko was keeping his avenues open in the instance that Chisora’s legal troubles would prevent the fight from happening but with today’s ruling the fight will safely go ahead.
District Judge Quentin Purdy handed Chisora a 12 week prison sentence for the crime he called “disgraceful and downright humiliating” but suspended it for 2 years.
Chisora (14-0) takes on Klitschko in Germany on December 11th.
