Michael Jennings has labelled Kell Brook second best ahead of their September bout.

The two will finally face off having seen a potential bout cancelled on numerous occassions and Jennings is confident of victory against rising star Brook on Frank Warren’s supercard next month. Ahead of the British welterweight title fight Jennings said,

“Right now Kell is probably the best in Britain other than me. Matthew Hatton has come on a lot and in the future he might be better, but at the moment, Kell is the toughest opponent I could face in Britain. The way it stands, he’s the best in Britain apart from me. He’s the second best.”

Brook, who is Manny Pacquiao’s WBO mandatory, is being touted for big things having faced and defeated 21 opponents in his pro career. But Jennings will be a step up for the Sheffield born Ingle fighter and will be hoping to put on a show against the experience Jennings.
