Timothy Bradley still has his eyes on Amir Khan despite moving up to 147 pounds to face Luis Carlos Abregu this Saturday.

Bradley, widely recognised as the best 140 pounder in the world today, felt he was unable to get the fights he should have at 140 pounds so headed north and takes on the dangerous Abregu at welterweight but feels the move is only temporary.

Bradley has set his sights on a unification bout with Devon Alexander who holds the WBC and IBF junior welterweight titles but also WBA champion Amir Khan, a fight that was previously set to take place as he told BoxingScene,

“It was done. But when Khan signed with Golden Boy, they had other plans for him. They took the fight from us, but sooner or later he’s going to have to come out and dance. He’s a good fighter. I don’t know what he’s afraid of, but he needs to fight. He needs to fight some real stiff competition,”

Bradley had called Khan protected in a previous interview with Ring Magazine and this latest statement will register on Khan’s radar who has always insisted that he is ready to take on all comers at 140 pounds.
