Khan fires back at Bradley “I want you next!”
Following his decision win over Luis Carlos Abregu on Saturday, Timothy Bradley took the opportunity on HBO to call out a number of fighters at different weights.
He called out Manny Pacquiao, he called out 140 pound rival Devon Alexander, he called out Marcos Maidana whom he had been scheduled to fight before the Argentine pulled out and he also called out rising British star Amir Khan.
Whilst a fight with Pacquiao seems unlikely and money problems seem to be a stumbling block in arranging a fight with Devon Alexander, a fight with Khan could be possible as the WBA junior welterweight champion fired back accepting Bradley’s challenge.
Speaking via his Twitter Khan responded:
“I’ll fight tim bradley its the first time he has called me out, I’m going vegas and talk to goldenboy I wud love the fight good style for me.
Im fighting timothy bradley next I’m gona tell goldenboy. Let’s see if they want it for real. Talk is cheap.”
Golden Boy Promotions had intended to match Khan with the winner of the Marquez/Diaz bout on August 31st, both fighters also promoted by Golden Boy, but now Khan has signalled his intentions to face Bradley, it waits to be seen if Golden Boy carry through with Khan’s wishes and tries to match him up with the fighter widely regarded as the finest 140 pound fighter in the world.
