Froch and Abraham to do battle in millionaire’s playground

The 3rd stage Super Six bout between former WBC super middleweight champion and has finally found a home with Monaco being chosen as the site.

There had been much dispute over the destination of the fight with Froch refusing to fight on mainland Europe for fear of not being able to get a fair deal having lost his WBC title in a close fight with . Sauerland Events had claimed they had a contract that stated the fight would take place in Berlin but Froch threatened to pull out of the Super Six competition entirely if he was made to fight there.

There had been talk of the fight taking place in Montreal but that has been laid to bed now it has been announced the fight will take place in the neutral Chapiteau de l’Espace Fontvieille venue in Monaco on October 2nd.

The fight will be explosive as both fighters need a wins to progress to the next round. Froch started with a close split decision win against but then lost a close decision to whilst Abraham started the competition in spectacular fashion knocking out Jermain Taylor but then would be disqualified for hitting a downed in a fight that he was already losing on the cards.

With both fighters coming off their first career defeats, it promises to be an exciting finale to the round robin stage of the competition.
