Having been comprehensively beaten by Floyd Mayweather in May, Shane Mosley will fight on and has eyed former WBC junior middleweight champion Sergio Mora as a possible opponent.

According to Lem Satterfield, boxing editor of AOL FanHouse, Mosley was presented with a list of opponents that also included WBC welterweight champion Andre Berto and Middleweight champion Sergio Martinez at a catch weight.

With Berto unwilling to do a deal for anything less than a 50-50 purse split and Mosley not ready to face a fighter of Martinez’s quality so soon after the Mayweather bout, Mora was left as the only viable option.

The fight, scheduled to take place at an agreed weight of 154 pounds, is set to take place at the Staples Centre on September 18th and to tie in with the Mexican Independence day celebration, Golden Boy Promotions prospect Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez will also appear on the PPV card.
