Foreman to undergo knee surgery
Former WBA super welterweight champion Yuri Foreman will be having surgery on his right knee after aggravating it during his fight with Miguel Cotto on Saturday.
Foreman claimed it was an old injury in the post fight interview and usually wears a knee brace to provide support but during the 7th round the knee gave way and caused Foreman to limp heavily for 2 more rounds before being stopped by a body shot.
It is thought that Foreman suffered torn cartilage and strained ligaments in the fight so an operation is definitely needed but Foreman himself is unsure of how big and serious it will be,
“I will need surgery and I don’t know yet how big it is, I’m going to find out soon, probably in the next day or two.”
