Sosnowski should be a mere warm up for Dr. Iron Fist
Far removed from the days when heavyweight title fights were spectacles that the world tuned in for, Vitali Klitschko and Albert Sosnowski will battle it out in Gelsenkirchen, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany (yes, that is an actual place). Gelsenkirchen is a stone’s throw away from such notable and engaging tourist hot spots like Erkenschwick, Sprockhovel, Wuppertal and Bottrop, which is naturally the perfect place to hold a fight between a Polish guy and Ukrainian that no one outside of Eastern Europe cares about.
Naturally, the event is PPV (save your 25 bucks, folks), meaning it will get a total of 16 buys in the United States (neither HBO or Showtime offered to pick up). But I digress; I need to stop the hating. It just seems to me that if Vitali wanted a big fight against popular British WBA Champion David Haye (he has called out Haye numerous times), fighting a unknown Polish fighter in the middle of nowhere seems like the opposite of what you want to be doing.
I watched a bit of Sosnowski, and he looks pretty good from the snippets of highlight videos against 8-4, 10-8 and 15-27 (he actually fought two fighters IN A ROW with 15-27 records) fighters. He seems to have decent skills and reasonable pop. But losing every round against Zuri Lawrence 24(0)-8 pretty much means you suck (Watch parts 1 2 and 3 if you dare). And yes, you read that correctly. Zuri Lawrence has never stopped an opponent in a professional fight.
I am expecting what everyone else in the world except Albert Sosnowski, his trainer and his little brother (even Albert’s mom knows he is going to get his ass kicked) are expecting.
Vitali will dominate, using his massive physical advantages to pepper Sosnowski from the outside through the first 5 or 6 rounds, and the will garner more confidence, start sitting down on his punches and start to consistently hurt Sosnowski before the ref stops the fight so everybody can know what they already knew, that Vitali was better and was going to win.
I kinda felt bad posting about a fight like this, so I will try and win my readers over with some pretty solid videos.
Check out Vitali’s destruction of Cris Arreola.
And since we were talking about Zuri Lawrence, lets watch him get brutally KO’d by Calvin Brock
(Zuri was fine, and went on to beat Albert Sosnowski 7 fights later).
