Pavlik vs Martinez preview (video)

Both are coming off great displays in their last fights (Martinez looked solid losing an extremely close split decision to Paul Williams whilst Pavlik stopped Miguel Angel Espino in 5 rounds) further raising expectations when the two clash for Pavlik’s middleweight crown.
Pavlik holds the obvious advantage being the bigger, stronger natural middleweight, his punching power is fierce and if he lands clean he could end the fight but Martinez carries deceptive power as Williams found out and is a slick southpaw. A seasoned fighter he will make Pavlik work hard to even land and could very easily outbox Pavlik if Pavlik is not careful.
Although a knockout can come at any time, I’m in the camp that believes Martinez will outfox and outbox Pavlik to an exciting points wins in what is essentially the second fight in the Pavlik, Williams, Martinez tri tournament.
