Video Highlights: Ricky Hatton vs Manny Pacquiao

On paper this fight looked more than competitive, Manny Pacquiao would be fighting Ricky Hatton at Hatton’s natural weight, junior welterweight,  a division Hatton had ruled since his 2005 mauling of Kostya Tszyu. But when have fights ever been fought on paper?

This would be Hatton’s second fight working with Floyd Mayweather Sr and in his first, an 11 round stoppage of Brash New Yorker Paulie Malignaggi, he looked great but Manny Pacquiao is a completely different story. The Pac Man had just come off a 8 round thrashing of Oscar De La Hoya and was on a path to legendary status.

This was Hatton’s second attempt against a pound 4 pound king having been knocked out by Floyd Mayweather Jr in 2007 so could a revitalised Hatton stop the momentum of Manny Pacquiao? Only if blocking punches with your face scored you points!
