Malignaggi and Khan to start press tour this Friday

Having both signed the contract for a May 15th bout, WBA junior welterweight champion Amir Khan and Paulie Malignaggi will kick off their press tour this Friday (12th March) with a conference in London.

The two had engaged in a heated war of words on social networking site Twitter prior to the contract being signed and there were some false claims a contract had been signed but everything has been set in place for Khan’s US debut.

The bout will take place in New York’s WaMu Theatre and will be televised on HBO allowing Khan to reach a much wider audience as HBO is one of the premier channels when it comes to showcasing boxing in the States.

The press tour will continue in New York on March 16th with another conference to be held at the fight’s venue.
